Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph (HRT) is a state of the art imaging system that uses laser energy used to measure the three dimensional structure of the retina and optic nerve. This technology creates a detailed topographic map of the optic nerve and is used to detect early loss of the nerve fiber layer associated with glaucoma. The results from HRT are used to formulate the most effective individual treatment plan possible.
